- Sagittal proximal aorta
- Sagittal mid aorta
- Sagittal distal aorta
- Sagittal RCIA and LCIA
- Transverse prox aorta
- Transverse mid aorta
- Transverse distal aorta
- Transverse RCIA and LCIA
- Use color and doppler interrogation of the aorta, as necessary
M:easurements:
- AP measurement from sagittal (plane parallel to the long axis)
- Width measurement on transverse (plane perpendicular to the long axis)
- Measurements are taken at the greatest diameter of the aorta, from outer edge to outer edge
Notes:
-If aneurysm present, maximal size and location of the aneurysm should be documented and recorded. The relationship of the dilated segment to the renal arteries and to the aortic bifurcation should be determined if possible.
