Hepatobiliary Scan with Ejection Fraction (CCK)
Preparation: NPO for 4 hours prior and no medications 4 hours prior
Patient must have a negative GB ultrasound within the past year.
Dose: 5mci Disofenin(Hepatolite) or Choletec (Mebrofenin)
CCK dose calculation .02mcg per kg given over 30 minutes
CCK reconstitution per manufacturer
Procedure: Patient is injected intravenously with Choletec or Hepatolite and placed under gamma camera for imaging.

Patient Position:supine
At 60 minutes a right lateral view will be obtained. If at 60 minutes the gallbladder and small bowel have visualized proceed with CCK acquisition. If the gallbladder and small bowel have not visualized continue imaging for another hour. At two hours if the gallbladder has not visualized the exam is ended.
Ejection Fraction acquisition is started 3min prior to the start of CCK administration
