PERICARDIAL DISEASE DYNAMIC CINE
Indication: To evaluate for ventricular interdependence, to differentiate constriction vs restrictive CM
Single short-axis slice through mid LV
Real-time radial k-space TrueFISP CINE, nontriggered
Radial acquisition so 220 FOV with no phase wrap!
Phases 50 so it will image multiple consecutive heartbeats in real-time
**Must go over the instructions with the patient prior to starting the scan, as it is too loud for the patient to hear while the sequence is running**
1. Start scan.
2. After 1-2 seconds have the patient forecfully and quickly INHALE.
3. Hold breath for 1-2 seconds, then EXHALE.

(abnormal "D" shaped LV myocardium - normal will still be round on inspiration like the REST image)
